MPAA Lobbying for Home Theater Regulations

You have got to be kidding me... I swear all these ^*($@*^!) need to be shot. Although I must say that his is the first article I've read where they come right out and say that they are going to try and control your personal movements, "Just because you buy a DVD to watch at home doesn't give you the right to invite friends over to watch it too. That's a violation of copyright and denies us the revenue that would be generated from DVD sales to your friends".

Here we go again!

  1. Be sure to look at the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. This is satire. Sad note is that the way the MPAA operates, many people reading this could take it as true.

  3. The Ratings committee made a copy of " This Movie is Unrated" and put it in a safe. [hat tip to Buzz Out Loudpodcast] So that is ok.
"BuzzCast 12/01/06 - Copying movies? Get a vault
The MPAA says that they're allowed to make an illegal copy of a movie, because, you know, they're the MPAA. And they're keeping it in a vault, so no one can ever get it. Right."
