Links from the Gregg Zone

1) Kicking off the week a printable car, no not just a picture of a car, a drivable car. Thanks Joe for an interesting link. This is starting to look more and more like our future. Just printing up whatever we want. Turn my garage into a big replicator from Star Trek. http://www.kurzweilai

2) Here is another really interesting idea that may find legs in the get us off oil arena. They may have found a way to use yeast to grow plastics. Look around and you will notice there is an awful lot of oil in your surroundings, other than what we put into the tank, this might make a significant change in our future. http://www.physorg.com

3) This has been all over the net all week so most likely not new to you, but just in case you missed it I thought I might comment on it. This is another one of those indicators I keep talking about regarding the relationship between our technology and human evolution. The days of having technological improvements to human performance have been around for a while now, but the pace seems to be increasing at an expediential rate. http://www.physorg.com

4) You think video messaging is pretty cool today, looks like that is also getting ready to make a bg jump soon. How about a hologram video call. Just think you may be able to have yourself sent in a hologram that not only talks in real time, but can do it as a three dimensional vision. Not sure if I am ready for those future morning Skype coffee clutches with complete videos. Although I have a friend in So. Cal. who will probably love them. http://www.bbc.co.uk

5) Finally to wrap it up for the week, how about a human powered search engine, Wikipedia style to add to your internet arsenal. Not quite sure if it would be my personal cup of tea, but who knows what it might morph into. http://news.yahoo.com
