Dell does retail

Apparently, Dell says they were inspired by the Apple stores. That's a little hard to take, as it seems as if the plan is for nothing more than kiosks to allow prospective buyers to see products.

There will be one in Dallas, which is near me, and I'll be over there as soon as it opens. I'll let you know what I find.

  1. they have 2 kiosks in malls here, not real impressive, just big screens around the top of the kiosk and laptops on the table part, though I DO stop and check em out, every time I walk by..... Before they opened the factory in the triangle area, the only effect was that they charged sales tax on orders to NC. Of course, I'm sure they already charge sales tax in TX. I find it interesting that this is the first "local" presence for y'all.
