According to anti-malware testing group AV-Comparatives.org Microsoft Security Essentials got its top rating.
Previously it said that the software was very good at removing malware, but now it is saying that it is also the best in terms of performance too.
If you would like to read the report here it is. This link goes right to the .pdf.
I'm not sure I want to leave my computer security to Microsoft alone.
The article does go over a lot of things I say all of the time. As I was reading it, I read a little to Gregg and he asked "If they were listing to the show?"

Links From The Gregg Zone
1)Starting off the week an article I ran across promising to solve multiple problems in the environment puzzle. Seems there is a professor from Tarleton State University who is getting ready to set up a factory to turn cow manure into ethanol. His primary focus is not to make fuel, but rather to solve the pollution problem created from waste at dairy farms. This sounds great to me. http://www.wacotrib.com
2)I like these top ten, twenty, hundred list type sites, because they seem to cut to the chase. While I also like to look at the items that did not make the selection, if I am looking for a movie I missed, or researching the best inventions of the year, whatever the subject they just seem to condense the subject matter. This site is one of those titled “Ten Science Stories That Changed Our Decade” as usual I could add one or two, but these are all great, and make for a good read. http://io9.com
3)Speaking of science stories and advancements, here is one that we had to know was coming, though I personally did not expect to see it for another ten years, or more. Time really seems to fly in the technology world. The bionic eye will be starting animal trials in the next couple of years, human trials shortly after. At this time they are not looking to solve all eye problems, the person must have been born sighted, and it will not repair all optical problems, but we went from windows 98 to windows 7 in only 11 years, so who knows. http://thefutureofthings.com
4)I have to admit this kind of caught me off guard, I am refering to dark matter. I some how thought they were looking for it is space, I thought that was where it all was, out there someplace. So when I saw this article that they may have found some at the bottom of a mine in Minnesota, well lets just say I realized that I need to do some more reading. Anyway if this turns out to be the real deal, it will be a really big something, not sure what, but really big. http://www.minnpost.com/this_could_be_big_have_researchers_found_dark_matter_at_the_bottom_of_a_mine_in_minnesota
5)Wrapping things up with something geek related, it is often something sent to me by Troll, this is another of those "thanks Troll" weeks. And another of those top of the heap lists, this time the top five. Namely the top five worst tech products of 2009, I feel lucky to have avoided every one of them. http://blogs.techrepublic.com.
