Our apps for today all revolve around BBC News. The commercial division of the BBC provides a free, ad supported (unannoying) version outside the UK for iPhone-iPad-iPod Touch, while Android widget has been developed by an independent developer.
The BBC Trust's development of an app has been controversial and is under review so the iPhone app is not available in the UK.
