Today we will be talking about IRC applications for your Smartphone.

For Android, there is AndChat. It works quite well, and has a great price, free.

For iPhone/iPad, there is Rooms. It works pretty good, but it does cost $1.99. There are versions for both iPad and iPhone.

For anyone with Windows Mobile, there is PocketIRC. This app worked well when I used it. It used to cost money, but now, its free.
