Microsoft's antitrust concessions are 'pointless'

Well, I had hoped the remedies worked out between the EC and Microsoft would result in some concrete gains. The ZDNet Australia article linked to above quotes a consultant at SerNet, a German open-source consultancy firm as saying the participation of Microsoft in the remedies is merely restating publicly available information and entirely insufficient to address the EC concerns, which demanded disclosure of complete interoperability information with Microsoft's server operating systems.

Read it and judge for yourselves.
